The student assistant will assist with research projects in the Department of Medicine, division of Veterans Affairs. Typical job duties:
Provide administrative and research support by coordinating participant schedules, assisting with study-related activities, and performing accurate data entry.
Utilize standard office and research tools, including Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and electronic data management systems such as REDCap, to support program operations.
Salary: $17.90 – $26.00 hourly
Qualifications
Required:
- Currently registered as a UC student.
- Excellent skills in computer and software operation
- Excellent oral communication skills and experience communicating with a diverse population, in order to recruit participants and conduct interviews
- Experience working with a diverse research population.
- Ability to pay attention to detail under conditions of frequent interruptions.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations for Human Subject Protection and informed consent.
Preferred:
- Experience coordinating projects.
- Previous clinical or health services research experience.
- Excellent writing skills, as evidenced by co-authorship or authorship of research or technical reports, in order to write or edit correspondence, patient or provider communication.
