What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at access points by verifying credentials, confirming authorization, and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic in accordance with post orders.
  • Register visitors and vendors by completing required logs, checking identification when required, issuing visitor passes, and notifying the appropriate contact for authorization.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems, cameras, intercoms, and/or alarm panels; report irregular activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or site management as directed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional presence, challenging unrecognized individuals in accordance with policy, and documenting outcomes.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, amenities, and perimeter locations as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete routine reports such as incident reports, activity logs, and shift pass-down notes with clear, accurate, and timely information.
  • Communicate with residents, site management, and Allied Universal leadership to support community rules, parking control, and access-related requests while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist with special events, move-ins and/or move-outs, and contractor projects by coordinating entry procedures and maintaining orderly access flow.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
