As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication and reporting. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to residents, prospective tenants, guests, vendors, and property management by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, amenities, and perimeter to help to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Control access to the property by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors and deliveries to the appropriate location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, alarms, and unauthorized persons.
- Write thorough reports on daily activities, incidents, patrol observations, and tenant or visitor interactions, and/or complete electronic reports as required.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and other property systems when assigned, and report issues, malfunctions, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Communicate with property management, onsite staff, and local public services as needed for incident response and follow-up.
- Perform foot and/or vehicle patrols while maintaining a professional presence to help to deter unwanted activity and support a positive environment on the property.
- Assist with resident and tenant questions, provide directions, and support a high level of service while enforcing site rules in a courteous manner.
- Support opening and closing procedures for designated areas when assigned, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas and reporting concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
