job summary:
A Quality Technician is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Garden Grove, CA area. This is a Quality Assurance technician role in a highly regulated manufacturing environment using precision gauges and blueprints to perform detailed inspections, document compliance, and ensure all products meet strict aerospace, medical, or automotive standards.

responsibilities:
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections for raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct both visual and dimensional inspections using handheld gauges and precision measurement equipment.
- Read and interpret complex blueprint drawings, customer specifications, and material certifications.
- Review manufacturing, shipping, and receiving documentation for 100% accuracy and compliance.
- Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
- Execute product audits on final packaged goods and associated work order documentation.
- Perform data entry, scan records, and manage general document control within MRP and Access databases.
- Test raw materials for mechanical and physical properties within a materials test lab.
- Create comprehensive certification packages and inspection reports for customers.
- Interface directly with customer source inspectors and manage data within customer portals.
- Support high-level quality activities including MRB, return investigations, and customer audits.
Skills:
- Ability to use handheld gauges and other measurement devices safely and appropriately.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of inspection techniques and familiarity with sampling plans.
- Demonstrates proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings and customer specifications.
- Ability to read, understand, translate and clearly communicate customer requirements both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to multitask and work in a face-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel and good math skills.
- strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Familiarity with using a variety of databases preferred (MRP, Document Control Databases, Access Databases).
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in a Quality or Production role, performing inspections and using gauges.
- Minimum of 2 years previous work experience in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device).
