The Trade Marketing Manager works within the RBNA Sales and Trade Marketing team to support fundamental tasks involved in the POS development process from concept development to delivery. The TMM must understand the retail environment in order to develop effective merchandising solutions, have a customer service mindset, an eye on trends and the future, a desire to understand shoppers, and above all else, the drive to win versus competition and look like #1 in-store.

The Trade Marketing Manager assists with the retail marketing and visibility strategies for assigned customers and across the broader Off Premise universe. The TMM brings Red Bull marketing campaigns to life through multi-faceted POS plans through collaborative relationships with the Global Trade Marketing, US Product, US Shopper Marketing, US Operations, US Field Teams, and US Key Account Sales Teams.

Expand all

  • Manages visual merchandising/ POS strategy & development

    Serves as a subject matter expert and point of contact for assigned customer’s POS and merchandising initiatives

    Develops and execute POS solutions that serve the needs of assigned customers, complement shopper behavior and ensure Red Bull looks like #1 in store

    Manages and communicates Trade Marketing production timelines to all relevant internal and external stakeholders

    Supports the annual business plan process (including guideline and “look of success” development) with guidance on effective POS solutions to achieve commercial and brand objectives

    Additional assigned projects as determined by business needs Trade marketing channel leads

  • Regional Activations

    Develops temporary ambient display materials that enable the off-premise sales strategy

    Partner with cross functional team in Brand, Ops, Trade Finance and Sales to plan in store theater programs

    Partner with agencies of record and vendor partners to develop and execute impactful and easy to assemble temporary display items, technical drawings and the most cost-effective production methods

  • Manages Development of New POS Innovations

    Support the development of POS technical innovation and test projects based on business impact and customer needs defined by Trade marketing channel leads

    Collaborates with cross functional stakeholders including Global Trade Marketing, US Product, US Shopper Marketing & US Operations, and US Key Account Sales Teams to deliver projects on-time and on-budget

    Continually identifies opportunities to improve project workflows and respectfully challenges the status quo

    Stays up to date on industry trend analysis, competitive activity, and changing shopper behaviors through industry publications, events, insight reports, supplier relationships

  • Champions Looking Like #1 In Store

    Reinforces the Look of Success and Perfect Store standards across assigned projects/ customers/ channels/ supplier relationships

    Optimizes Trade Marketing project execution success through regular market visits, customer/ sales team meetings, and distribution partner route rides

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 3-5 years consumer packaged goods industry, Brand marketing and/or product development experience with exposure to retailers preferred
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and project management competencies
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting, writing and ability to collaborate
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment is a must
  • Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate cross department networking
  • Conscientious, strong attention to detail, self-starting
  • Strong conceptual thinking and design critiquing skills
  • Technical knowledge of POS Production (Print, Permanent, Temporary) required
  • Experience working with Agencies or Production suppliers required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Suite required
  • Project management tool (Asana, Trello, Workfront) experience required
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Field Sales experience is a plus
  • Travel 20-30%
