As a Security Officer – Hospital Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access control while assisting patients, visitors, and staff. You will document observations, communicate clearly with clinical teams, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, hospital policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-area disturbances, visitor issues, and requests for assistance from hospital personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hospital campus, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring access points, observing for unusual activity, and reporting concerns in accordance with site-specific protocols.
- Complete incident reports and routine documentation, communicate observations to hospital leadership and/or Allied Universal supervisors, and assist with patient transport support as directed by post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
