Description
Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a creative, digitally fluent Digital Media Producer for Mission Unstoppable, a series that spotlights real women in STEM and inspires young girls to explore related careers through September. The ideal candidate understands digital-first storytelling, lives in Gen Z/Gen Alpha culture, and enjoys experimenting with new formats, trends, and community engagement strategies. The Digital Media Producer will collaborate across teams to shape content that feels authentic, engaging, and aligned with show, and brand goals.
This position reports to the Digital Director and is in office four (4) days per week at our Hearst offices located in Glendale, CA.
Responsibilities
- Assist in development and execution of digital engagement strategy for award-winning CBS series Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove.
- Create, edit, and publish digital-first content across major platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and other emerging platforms.
- Repurpose long-form show assets into short-form, platform-optimized deliverables such as clips, social edits, and thumbnails.
- Support live-stream production, including occasional on-camera participation and guest interviews.
- Capture and edit content using mobile-first and lightweight production tools.
- Track cultural and platform trends to inform content opportunities and maintain brand alignment.
- Manage the content calendar to ensure timely production, approvals, and publishing.
- Coordinate cross-team feedback and oversee organization of digital assets across tools like Dropbox, WeTransfer, and Google Drive.
- Publish and schedule content using platforms such as Sprout; create basic social graphics in Canva when needed.
- Engage with online communities by responding to comments and messages.
- Handle guest communications, from pre-interviews and research to ongoing updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align strategy and support reporting needs.
- Research and stay up to date on all social media trends, platforms, vendors; recommend improved processes, new technologies and platforms where appropriate.
Experience
- Strong creative and writing skills.
- 2+ years’ experience in Marketing/Branding, Communications, Writing, Film/Design, or equivalent work in related fields with a background in content creation, digital media, social media management, or related creative work.
- Media/entertainment industry a plus.
- Experience producing or managing YouTube channels or YouTube-first content is strongly preferred.
- Experience with asset management, digital workflows, and social publishing tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with Capcut, Instagram Edits, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable editing/design platforms.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of producing, publishing, and marketing social media creative assets on various platforms including, but not limited to: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, Snapchat and Twitch.
- Deep understanding of Gen Z and Gen Alpha digital culture, platform behaviors, and emerging trends.
- Self-starter, able to work under tight deadlines with excellent editorial judgment, time management and strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for social and digital creative trends and technology.
- Skilled in video editing, mobile editing, and repurposing content for vertical, short-form, and algorithm-driven platforms.
- Strong Plus: Passion for science, tech, and educational content. Ability to explain complex ideas simply and entertainingly.

- Related experience and/or training will be considered as well as a combination of education and experience.

The estimated base pay for this role is $1586 per week. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
