The Field Service Technician installs, demonstrates, maintains, and troubleshoots CNC machine tools, laser systems, and connected automation and storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
??Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while upholding the highest standards of quality.
??Demonstrate system functionality and train customers on proper operation, maintenance, and repair in a clear, organized manner.
??Complete basic retrofits, software installations, and customer training sessions.
??Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and long-term relationship building.
??Use electrical and diagnostic measuring tools effectively to perform accurate troubleshooting.
??Prepare and submit all required service reports weekly in a complete, timely, and organized fashion.
??Assist other Field Engineers as needed and collaborate across teams to ensure service excellence.
??Participate in an initial training program of approximately six months, followed by regular ongoing training on existing and new products.
??Ability to lift 70 pounds without assistance.
Travel Requirements
??Must reside within, or be able to relocate to, within 45 minutes of a major international airport.
??Up to 100% travel required, including regional, national, and international assignments.
??Routine travel Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
Experience & Education
??Two-year technical degree in engineering principles or an equivalent combination of education and technical work experience.
??Minimum of 2 years? experience in field service, technical service, equipment repair, or customer support.
??Strong background in electrical systems, computer systems, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
??Experience with robotics, lasers, automation equipment, or mechatronics highly preferred.
??Proficiency with hand tools and precision measurement tools.
??Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, and comfort working independently in customer-facing environments. Job 58647
Salary: $28.00 – $32.00+ per hour starting. Most techs make over $70,000 + their first year. Overtime available, annual bonus based on performance, pay raises as you become qualified. Full benefits,car allowance and more. You keep all travel miles/points.
