As a Security Officer for Retail Plaza in Lynwood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a busy commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine foot and vehicle rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear, professional communication. What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when needed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
- Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or unauthorized access, completing detailed reports and submitting incident documentation according to Allied Universal requirements.
- Assist with traffic flow and/or pedestrian movement during peak periods and special activities, providing directions and communicating with property management and/or local responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
