The Role

Site Plant Controller is responsible for:

  • Leading the annual budget, RF1, RF2 and RF3 forecast, strategic plan process at the site and providing accurate explanations of significant variances, including analysis of actual vs. prior year, budget and/or forecast
  • Focus on timely month-end results/reporting but importantly strategic planning to ensure the site is growing profitability
  • Providing factual data in order to quickly identify problem areas
  • Management of the Assistant Site Controller and Financial Analyst positions at the Garden Grove location, mentoring of the role and providing the necessary direction & leadership
  • Lead the processes of the month-end close to ensure alignment of the corporate deadlines, prepare, approve journal entries and reconciliations (as needed/required), and ensure accuracy/integrity of the balance sheet (quality of working capital, changes in fixed assets, liabilities, etc.)
  • Lead the annual standard cost development process for the site(s) to ensure transparency of product cost (contribution & gross margins)
  • Responsible to ensure all plant accounting activities comply with the processes outlined in the IFRS, ICRF, and other policies, and sound business practices.
  • Lead all analyses necessary to a good understanding of the business performance, for example price, volume and mix analysis, tracking of labor costs, control of fixed expenses and monitoring of non-quality costs, inventory levels against service levels, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university (required)
  • Master’s degree, Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • 7+ years experience Manufacturing/Corporate Cost Accountant, Plant Controller role and/or Operational Analyst roles (required)
  • Certified Public Accountant or Management Accountant (preferred)

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is  $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
