The purpose of Red Bull Distribution Company (RBDC), as Red Bull’s owned Direct-Store-Delivery (DSD) organization is to drive best-in-class distribution and achieve Red Bull North America’s (RBNA) strategic objectives – both quantitative (revenue, volume, profit and share) and qualitative (in-field, talent, operations). The SVP will lead a world-class retail execution team to achieve RBDC’s goal of becoming the #1 Distribution Company in North America.

Reporting to the EVP, Off Premise Distribution, the SVP, RBDC is responsible for the overall financial, executional and operational performance of RBDC. As a leader you will inspire a winning organization to embody the Company’s Values and ensure high employee engagement. Key leadership traits include building, leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing leadership team. As a member of the Off Premise Distribution Leadership team, the SVP will lead and promote close alignment with RBNA Sales team leadership.

  • STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING

    Develop long-term distribution strategies and specific initiatives considering company direction, focus areas, market parameters and resources.

    Allocate resources where the investment has the highest payback aligned with strategic goals or relevance

    Drive RBDC’s annual business planning process

    Ensure all leadership manages expenses (inventory, goods destroyed, discounts, T&E), responsible for Profit & Loss ownership

    across all profit centers

    Monitor market trends and competitive activity, and deploy tactics to Win vs Competition

  • OVERSIGHT OF FIELD-SALES DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS

    Use a high level of discretionary judgment on sales, financial, operational, and employment decisions

    Lead, coach, and develop RBDC leadership team to ensure key performance indicators and metrics are met or exceeded and that sales and distribution targets are flawlessly executed to standard

    P&L ownership and responsible for fiscal management of organization’s expenses (inventory, goods destroyed, discounts, T&E)

    Develop and deliver an annual business plan for volume, execution excellence, market share, profitability, distribution development, routes, new product distribution, and volume/sales forecast

    Evaluate total market conditions through the lens of Winning versus All Competition – competitive threats, changing local dynamics which may impact volume, share, profit, as well as other business metrics

    Lead RBDC LT in defining annual and monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) priorities, strategies, and goals coordinating with cross-functional departments, to ensure the attainment of volume plan and profit objectives

    Spend time in the market with the field team to understand market conditions, influence employee engagement and promote lines of open communication to address business opportunities

  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

    Instill partnership and collaboration amongst RBDC Field Sales and Shared Services Leaders (Talent, Finance, IT, Operations)

    Work directly with the RBNA Commercial and Shared Services leadership teams to ensure successful partnership and collaboration across RBDC and RBNA.

    Actively contribute to HQ Cross Functional Teams within RBNA to ensure sales and distribution integration, organizational investment in Reach and new business development

    Participate in monthly Off Premise Sales leadership team meetings and provide feedback and insight to aid in the overall organizational decision-making process

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 12+ years of management experience in both beverage supplier and distributor businesses with a Direct Store Delivery (DSD)
  • model, including proven track record of meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives
  • Key account management experience at a national level preferred
  • A proven track record of being able to inspire and lead a successful sales organization (sales directors and their teams, sales managers and their teams, Key Account Managers, Merchandising Managers and their teams), Office Assistants, and partnering with Talent; promote initiatives that build strong trade partnerships
  • Previous P&L influence & ownership over sales teams and operations
  • Excellent negotiator and influencer, leveraging business analytics to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills as a change agent, leader, and performance coach to develop talent.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker and passionate for achieving long-term success via hands on, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Analytical background and ability to analyze complex trends and data.
  • Strong communication skills, highly organized and manages timelines and objectives effectively. Impactful presentation and

  • Strong knowledge of consumer marketing principles. Experience in supporting and facilitating cross-departmental

  • Fluency in English is preferred. Additional language skills an advantage
