Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Lead end-to-end execution of tentpole events, brand activations, partner programs, and industry gatherings
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy aligned with Hearst Autos’ editorial, marketing, and revenue goals
  • Conceptualize and produce flagship experiences, including enthusiast drives, awards programs, launch events, and summits
  • Identify and develop new event formats and scalable franchise opportunities
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to create compelling sponsorship packages and custom experiential offerings
  • Manage sponsor integrations and on-site deliverables to ensure successful execution and ROI
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, creative, strategy, social, PR, and revenue teams to align events with broader content initiatives
  • Oversee event budgets, forecasting, reconciliation, and post-event reporting with actionable insights

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 5+ years of experience in event production, preferably within media, automotive, experiential marketing, or lifestyle brands
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder events from concept through execution
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and contract negotiation experience
  • Experience integrating sponsors into experiential environments in meaningful and measurable ways
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence presenting ideas and leading discussions across diverse groups
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
  • Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed
  • Interest in automotive media and enthusiast culture is a plus
  • This is a fully remote role

The base salary for this role is $53/hr. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
