As a Security Officer- Cemetery Patrol Duties in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a respected cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.31 / Hour

Job Schedule:
Day Time Wed 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM Fri 06:00 AM – 02:30 PM Sat 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM Sun 02:00 PM – 10:30 PM
What You’ll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professional communication with staff and guests.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, document observations, and report incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support a respectful environment for visitors, families, and staff by following post orders and helping to address disruptions, trespassing concerns, and/or after-hours activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
