As the Diet Clerk, you will assist in effectively executing patient meal service, including processing diet orders, checking tray lines, adjusting therapeutic menus and delivering basic education on diet restrictions to patients. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Assists patients with menu preferences. Performs menu editing and checks SmartSubs for accuracy. Prepares patient trays accurately. Prepares and delivers late trays. Checks patient trayline for accuracy. Assist with food service work duties as necessary. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Observes infection control practices at all times. Performs weekend cleaning duties as assigned. Able to effectively navigate Computrition and BSC including running necessary reports. Other duties as assigned. Tuition Assistance Plans: We offer the following on the first day of employment! Tuition Reimbursement: Repays up to $600 per calendar year for fees expended to attend a job-related seminar, licensure renewal (if mandated by job description), workshop, conference, individual course, or other training programs. Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600. Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization. This program is for attaining the designated health science degrees. Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given Hours: Variable 8 Hour Shift Starts of 5 a.m., 8 a.m., or 10 a.m. Qualifications Education No diploma/degree required Experience 1 year experience as a diet clerk in a hospital setting – Preferred Basic computer knowledge Required Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Required Licenses and Certifications – Upon Hire, ServSafe Food Handler Card through the American Restaurant Association – Required
