Job Description Under general supervision, is responsible for all aspects of scheduling Imaging outpatients. The scheduler is expected to organize, prioritize and perform work in a timely and efficient manner, within established guides, practices and procedures. The scheduler obtains clinical information and screens for exam appropriateness. Interacts with the Radiologists, nurses or technologists when necessary. The scheduler interacts with physicians, office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum. Qualifications Education High School Diploma/GED – minimum Assoc. Degree/College Diploma Two years of college studies with emphasis in medical field or science preferred. – preferred Experience 1 year At least 1 year of scheduling experience in a hospital or outpatient setting. – minimum Licenses and Certifications No license or certification required
