Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Accountant to join our team! In this role you will get to completes a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard accounting techniques and principles. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. You will be required to go into the office when called upon. Other from that you will work remotely.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage general ledger, accounting closing cycle, and monthly closing entries

  • Prepare, process and post monthly journal entries

  • Complete intercompany confirmation and prepaid amortization schedules

  • Complete, record and balance intercompany cost transactions between entities

  • Complete monthly detailed analysis of account reconciliation

  • Research and analyze the effects of transactions on account relationships

  • Learn, develop and recommend revisions to accounting systems and procedures in conformance with GAAP

  • Prepare monthly reporting schedules and accounts analysis

  • Assist and analyze monthly GAAP consolidated financial statements; generate and analyze nonstandard financial reports

  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures

  • Perform ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities associated with this position as deemed appropriate

  • Will be required to work in the office as needed when requested by management.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

  • Minimum 2+ years of related work experience

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and highly analytical

  • Strong sense of ownership

  • Self-directed, and able to work well independently and collaboratively in a team

  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills

  • U.S. Citizenship

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise resource planning) financial system is desired

Salary Range: 

$21.44 – $37.55
