We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. This role involves a wide range of general accounting tasks and offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments, supporting both regional and corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily general ledger postings and reconcile accounts, documenting any discrepancies
Conduct routine research to clear entries and ensure accuracy
Balance cash transactions between regional and corporate offices
Review and distribute department mail, including processing vendor and tenant checks
Manage Accounts Payable: process invoices, maintain vendor relationships, and handle 1099-MISC reporting
Manage Accounts Receivable: ensure timely collection of rental income, miscellaneous income, and expense refunds
Maintain subledgers for assets and prepaids in accordance with company policies
Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers in compliance with regulations and procedures
Qualifications:
Proven experience in general accounting (2+ years preferred)
Strong understanding of general ledger systems and account reconciliation
Familiarity with federal tax reporting (1099-MISC)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
