Accounting Clerk – Job Description

Overview
The Accounting Clerk supports daily accounting operations, focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general financial recordkeeping. This role helps maintain accurate data, ensures timely payments and collections, and works closely with other departments. ERP experience—especially NetSuite—is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable

Prepare and send invoices.

Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.

Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues.

Accounts Payable

Process vendor invoices, expenses, and payments.

Perform routine reconciliations (bank, credit card, prepaid accounts).

General Accounting & ERP Support

Create and maintain ERP reports (A/P aging, A/R aging, open POs).

Ensure accuracy of accounting data and assist with month-end tasks.

Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience.

ERP proficiency; NetSuite strongly preferred.

Strong Excel skills.

Good communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Preferred

Understanding of international documentation (commercial/proforma invoices).

Ability to support basic ERP customizations.
