We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all aspects of financial operations. Reporting to the Finance Director or the executive leadership team in their absence, you will manage and direct accounting functions, including accounts receivable and payable, payroll, general ledger, capital projects, and internal auditing. This position also supports budget development and monitoring, supervises accounting staff, and ensures compliance with professional accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the daily functions of the Finance Department, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and cash receipts. You will assist in developing financial goals, policies, and priorities while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in financial reporting. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing reconciliations, financial statements, and audit documentation, as well as maintaining records for assets and capital projects. You will also play a vital role in budget preparation, financial data analysis, and maintaining strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong leadership skills and a solid background in fund accounting and financial administration. Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and enterprise financial systems is essential, along with the ability to supervise staff, improve processes, and ensure compliance with established accounting principles. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, and experience in a government or municipal environment is highly preferred.
