Accounting Manager
Whittier, CA
Full-Time Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
$110,000 – $125,000 annually (Direct Hire)

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and collections. This is a long-term, direct-hire opportunity offering stability, growth, and the chance to make a company-wide impact.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the AR and AP functions, with emphasis on AR and collections

Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and account reconciliations

Post invoices and monitor outstanding expenses

Manage check runs and statement reconciliations

Maintain and improve ERP systems and accounting automation processes

Build consistent and professional collection practices while protecting customer relationships

Provide support for team members during PTO or peak workload periods

Develop, train, and cross-train accounting staff to ensure high team performance and business continuity

Write and maintain AP/AR policies and procedures

Serve as a key liaison between Finance, Sales, and regional leadership teams

Work collaboratively to resolve conflicts, balance sales goals with credit risk, and enforce credit hold policies tactfully

Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization as a trusted business partner

Qualifications

Extensive, hands-on experience managing AR and AP, with strong AR/collections expertise

Proven track record of stability and growth in prior roles

Experience managing and developing large, high-performing teams

ERP system experience required (Epicor, NetSuite, or similar)—beyond QuickBooks

Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills; able to foster trust and collaboration across departments

Demonstrated ability to automate and streamline accounting processes

Experience developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
