We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Manager to join our team. This role supports Senior Management by producing regular and ad hoc financial reports to assist in achieving the hotel’s financial objectives. The Accounting Manager also oversees payroll, accounts payable, income audits, and general cashiering under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Finance to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and safeguard hotel assets.
Support department managers in matters related to labor standards, payroll, and cost control.
Analyze labor costs and provide insightful reporting.
Supervise payroll, accounts payable, income audits, and general cashiering activities.
Assist in developing the Finance Department staff to support company growth.
Contribute to month-end processes, including preparing financial statements, accruals, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Participate in budget and forecast preparation alongside department heads.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, USALI standards, and local regulations.
Lead physical inventory counts and verify accuracy in counts, pricing, and valuation.
Safeguard cash assets through regular reconciliations and reporting.
Assist with tax calculations and filings.
Develop and update policies, procedures, and tools to enhance financial efficiency.
Foster a positive and cooperative working environment to maximize productivity and employee morale.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and statistical skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in hospitality or hotel accounting.
Knowledge of internal controls and audit processes.
Familiarity with USALI standards.
