Accounting Specialist – Temp Assignment (Oct 2024 – Mar 2025)
Location: Torrance, CA (near Torrance Blvd & Crenshaw) – 100% On-Site
Pay: $25–$32/hr
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm (with flexibility for occasional earlier or later shifts; Mondays are typically early)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly communicative Accounting Specialist to join our team on a temporary assignment running through March 2025. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, can adapt to shifting priorities across multiple time zones (Pacific, East Coast, India), and communicates with polish and professionalism across email, phone, and Microsoft Teams (camera required).
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable: Serve as the liaison between the U.S. AR team and the outsourced India team.
Accounts Payable: Review and verify payments, resolve issues, initiate approvals, and print checks.
Sales Tax Filing: Review inconsistencies and fraud alerts using Avalera (training provided) and handle filing.
Banking: Monitor transactions for inconsistencies; process ACH and other transactions.
General Office/Admin Support: Tech support coordination (password resets, laptop repairs), sorting/distributing mail, and other related tasks.
What We’re Looking For
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) – polished, professional, and confident on camera in Teams meetings.
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop (remote access) preferred.
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage priorities across multiple teams and time zones.
Reliable, flexible, and proactive with problem-solving.
