Kelly Services is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist for a growing commercial subcontractor company in Paramount, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth financial operations, with a specific focus on managing subcontractor payables, lien releases, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll handle all aspects of accounts payable, including subcontractor management and lien release processing, while supporting our administrative functions in a collaborative, close-knit team environment.
  • Enter invoices, manage purchase orders, and process payments through Sage 300, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify, obtain, and process conditional and unconditional lien releases, maintaining compliance with project timelines and payment requirements.
  • Review and validate lien releases, ensuring all documentation aligns with progress and final payment criteria.
  • Prepare monthly aging summaries, account reconciliations, and close reports, maintaining accurate accounts payable records.
  • Use Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis) to create and analyze AP data, providing insights into expenses and payables.
  • Provide administrative assistance across finance and operations as needed, contributing to our dynamic team environment.
  • 3+ years of accounts payable experience, ideally with a background in subcontractor, lien release or construction.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 and advanced Excel skills is required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service focus.
  • Willingness to assist with general administrative duties in a small, collaborative team setting.
  • Pay: $35.00 – $37.00 per hour
  • Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with possible overtime 100% onsite
