Type: Temp to hire contract
Pay: Up to $34 per hour DOE
About the Role
Reporting to the Controller, the AP Specialist will manage and process financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with problem-solving skills and attention to detail to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and policy compliance.
Execute payments via checks, wire transfers, ACH, and credit cards, ensuring timely delivery.
Reconcile vendor statements, address discrepancies, and resolve payment issues.
Process employee expense reports while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and support month-end closing activities.
Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal teams.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
What You Bring to the Table
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related roles.
Skills: Proficiency in Billing.com and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus. Non-profit industry experience desired.
Strengths: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
