Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Contract)

Location: Providence, RI (On-site, 5 days/week)
Job Description:
Our client, a Big 4 firm is seeking a seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our tax department during the busy season. This contract role involves the review, verification, assembly, and mailing of tax-related documents and requires a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify tax documents for accuracy, ensuring required elements such as names, account numbers, Tax IDs, and signatures are complete and correct
Assemble completed tax returns after verification is finalized
Prepare finalized tax documents for mailing to appropriate taxing authorities
Scan incoming tax documentation using proprietary software
Handle outgoing mail using a postage machine, weighing and posting individual and batch mailings
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in both independent and team environments
High attention to detail with strong data review and accuracy skills
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities
Flexibility to adapt to evolving policies, procedures, and business needs
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks over extended periods
Strong commitment to customer service and meeting deadlines
Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, during peak seasons
Education Requirements:
High school diploma required
University degree preferred
