Description
This position is responsible for serving in a lead role for the Board Letter process and overseeing the distribution of board meeting materials to the Board of Directors, member agencies, and public; leading and coordinating executive review of board letters; developing recommended policies and procedures for the office of the Board Executive Secretary related to supporting the Board of Directors and the Chair of the Board. This position also provides administrative support to the Board Executive Secretary, including scheduling appointments, meetings, outside activities, as well as written correspondence, reports, and general administrative functions. This position serves as the point person for the Board Document Management System (BDMS) and leads the development of board letter training and the training of board letter coordinators, committee coordinators, and managers with matters relating to board support.
Schedule: Hybrid 9/80, Monday through Friday / every other Friday off (May be asked to work on Scheduled Fridays off for Board Meeting Preparation) Start times are flexible from 7am-8am

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, and eight years of relevant experience; or four years as a MWD Senior Board Specialist.
Relevant Experience is defined as: experience in coordinating, organizing, and managing meetings, which includes leading and preparing for meetings in a public forum, board meetings, council meetings, and/or commission meetings.
This classification performs work that requires maintaining confidentiality and is routinely privy to matters that either involves confidential information, sensitive personnel issues, or exposure to confidential and sensitive strategic corporate information.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
