Assistant Director, CSJ Institute The Assistant Director supports and expands the reach of the CSJ Institute, the function of which is to sustain and support the CSJ commitment to serve all persons without distinction, to respond to the needs of the times, and to prepare fearless visionaries for a just future. Work Location: Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles). Remote work available 1-2 days per week. Start Date: Immediately Applications Deadline: Open until filled Annual Salary Rate Range: $68,640.00-$70,00.00 Monthly Salary Rate Range: $5,720.00 – $5,833.34 Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate’s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides presentations, trainings, reflections and orientations for all MSMU constituents, with a strong emphasis on student outreach, and the greater community on the history, legacy, and charism of CSJs. Classroom presentations in a variety of academic programs New student orientation, Admissions events, student leadership workshops Staff and faculty orientations and development Admissions events, including Admitted Students Day and Le Puy Scholars Promotes student research opportunities. 2. Provides formation, service and community building experiences in CSJ traditions for MSMU students and other Mount constituencies. Assists in facilitation of pilgrimages for faculty, staff and students to France, Tucson, etc. Develops experiences of ‘sharing the heart’ other CSJ spiritual practices Promotes presence of CSJs on campuses and at their residences, offering opportunities for relationship and community with MSMU community. Programs offering reflections and engagement with Alumnae. 3. Develops and executes marketing and communication for the Institute, including active social media, publicity for events, and educational displays. Flyers, announcements, newsletters. Educational bulletin boards on both campuses. Ongoing promotion through Instagram and Facebook. eDesigns submissions (CSJ publication) Quarterly resource email (Constant Contact). 4. Manages events for the Institute Liaison to facilities, catering, events, IT and graphics Collaborates with other departments on such programs as CSJ Week With Senior Director, plans programs for Spirit of the Founders, Founder’s Day, St. Joseph’s Day, Open House, Dia de los Muertos, etc. 5. Supervises student employees Archives and digitization projects Program support. 6. Assists senior director with building local relationships, including CSJs and sponsored ministries, as well as the broader CSSJ community, including the ACSSJ, high school association, and U.S. Federation. 7. Develops other programs and resources as needed to support the purpose of the Institute and advance its strategic plan. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Weekend and evening presentations, including for Weekend/Evening College, Admissions, etc. Requires occasional travel between campuses. Requires occasional travel for conferences, pilgrimages, and meetings at other ministry sites, both domestic and international. Performs other job-related duties, as assigned Job Requirements: Knowledge: Deep understanding of the CSJ charism. Knowledge of formation and retreat process. Abilities and Skills: Teaching, facilitation and/or training skills. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and audiences (from students to Trustees). Strong relationship building, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication. Project and event management. Ability to work without constant supervision. Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred). Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience coordinating communication, outreach and programs. Event planning, workshop and retreat facilitation experience required. Track record of public speaking, teaching and/or training required. Knowledge Catholic Social Teaching, theology and spirituality, and experience in Catholic Higher Education preferred.
