Description
Assistant Researcher University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10500 The UCLA Joint Institute for Regional Earth System Science and Engineering (JIFRESSE) invites applications for a position of Assistant Researcher whose research will focus on carbon cycle studies using atmospheric inverse modeling systems. The research includes the following activities: Developing multi-trace gas (CO2, CO, etc.) inversion framework to improve estimates of carbon fluxes Enhancing carbon flux estimates by assimilating satellite-derived CO2 and CO observations within global and regional inversion systems Characterizing transport errors and reducing their impact on carbon flux estimates from inversion By using satellite-based carbon flux estimates, investigating the regional to global response of carbon dynamics to extreme climate events Presenting research findings at scientific conferences and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals To apply, please visit: https://recruit.apo.ucla.edu/JPF10500 The University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
