Associate Director, Slate for Student Success, Title V DHSI Grant This position is designed to support the development and maintenance of Slate for Student Success, aimed to improve retention and graduation rates for MSMU students. By collaborating with various departments and divisions, the Associate Director, Slate for Student Success will lead the development of key retention, communication, and student success initiatives in Slate. Ultimately, they will contribute to the improvement of institutional processes, communication, and data sharing that will benefit the student experience. Work Location: Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles) Start Date: Immediately Applications Deadline: Open until filled Annual Salary Rate Range: $70,000.00 – $78,000.00 Monthly Salary Rate Range: $5,833.34 – $6,500.00 Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate’s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborates with the Director of Enrollment Technology, Director of Student Success and Retention, and the rest of the Title V DHSI Grant team to support projects for Traditional Undergraduate Students, with a focus on first-year, Hispanic, Pell-eligible, and Pre-Nursing students. Liaises with multiple campus departments relative to ensure data flow integrity with Enrollment and other campus systems to maintain operational priorities and synergy across campus. Exhibits a strong understanding of Student Success, exercising discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of data integrity and the student life cycle. Oversees daily automated data imports/exports between Slate and campus SIS (Colleague) and other sources. Leads the building and management of student success reporting for leadership to drive and support strategic decisions relative to undergraduate student support and success initiatives. Provides timely insights and analytical support to various internal stakeholders (including the Undergraduate Deans Office, Student Affairs, and Retention Committees) to support effective decision-making, while prioritizing the Title V DHSI Grant objectives. Supports the development of automated communication flows and deliver campaigns in Slate. Continually partners with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to ensure processes are running smoothly and to address data issues as they arise. Collaborates with departments and offices across the institution to execute projects in Slate including but not limited to academic advising, orientation, financial aid, registrar, student workers. Manages Slate user permissions in line with FERPA, HIPAA, and institutional policies and data integrity best practices. Implements, improves, and maintains Slate tools that enable student success staff to support students effectively, efficiently, and strategically. Develops training tools for staff and faculty users to ensure consistent use of Slate resources. Keeps current with Slate best practices and new features, continuously developing skills and knowledge to help provide oversight and creative direction on continued growth of Slate instance. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the policies and procedures of the University. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Knowledge: Working knowledge of the complexities of a comprehensive CRM system, preferably Technolutions Slate. Working knowledge of computers and word-processing, spreadsheet, database and or other types of software applications. Abilities and Skills: Highly developed project management skills, with experience leading data migration and system integration projects. Possess strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Can manage and track data to improve the quality and impact of student support. Ability to work collaboratively across campus, and a strong team orientation. Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in configuring, developing, and implementing functional requirements within the Slate platform; preferably experience with Slate for Student Success. Experience with system integration, operation, and data management. Experience providing technical support to a university office with a strong understanding of retention and student success processes.
