The attending physician oversees the infectious diseases patient population to assure that the patients are receiving maximum therapy, appropriate drugs, and to evaluate the patients’ overall progress. In addition, all interactions with the patient are charted in compliance with CMS standards and all records are completed in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws. The physician must also follow the Department of Medicine’s policies and procedures. Current, unrestricted California Medical License Board Certified in Internal Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases Current DEA License Current ACLS Certificate Special Conditions: Must remain in good standing with the Department of Medicine, adhering to UC and Departmental policies and procedures, outlined as follows: Submit encounter forms or dictations on date of service Complete the online CBT requirements by the deadline Do not appear on the Medical Staff Delinquency List (The Medical Staff Delinquency List is prepared the 1st Friday of the month and includes those physicians who have more than 20 delinquent charts unresolved at the time of the report.)
