Associate Project Scientist University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF10139 The UCLA Joint Institute for Regional Earth System Science and Engineering (JIFRESSE) invites applications for a position of Associate Project Scientist whose research will focus on advancing the understanding of landslide and rock glacier dynamics and their interactions with climate change using satellite remote sensing data. The research includes the following activities: Quantifying the kinematics and environmental controls of landslides and rock glaciers using remote sensing data, including satellite and airborne synthetic aperture radar interferometry (InSAR). Investigating how climate change is impacting the behaviors of landslides and rock glaciers in the Western U.S. Developing mechanical-hydrologic models to better understand landslide behavior.
