Orange County based: AUTOMATIC DOOR TECHNICIAN – provide service from the OC to SD to San Bernadino to Ventura – will report to Huntington Beach office
The typical schedule is M – F, with some weekends but, and the possibility of OT
Typical start time is 5:00 AM, it depends on the first stop of the morning

2-3 openings
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial automatic door systems, including diagnosing malfunctions, replacing worn parts, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring proper functionality of the door’s mechanical and electrical components, often requiring knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction practices to complete installations and repairs on site. Key responsibilities may include: • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing
automatic doors to identify potential issues and ensure proper operation.

  • Service and installation of Commercial Doors (Automatic & Overhead)
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions with automatic door systems,

including sensors, operators, motor units, and electrical wiring issues.

  • Replacing worn or damaged parts on automatic doors like rollers, tracks, seals, and

door closers.

  • Adjusting door settings to ensure proper opening and closing speeds, pressure

sensitivity, and safety features.

  • Interacting with clients to understand their needs, explaining repair options, and

addressing concerns.
• Maintain detailed service records and complete work orders for each job site.
Required skills and qualifications:
• AAADM certification a plus
• A clean driving record is required to operate company fleet vehicles
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles to diagnose and repair door
mechanisms.
• Familiarity with basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting to service door control
systems.
• The ability to use various hand and power tools to dismantle, repair, and
reassemble door components.
• Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective repair
solutions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various positions to access
door components.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and
explain technical details
