job summary:

We are searching for an Aviation Repair Lab Manager in the Chatsworth, CA area to direct and coordinate lab activities of the top-rated instrument

overhaul facility on the West Coast. Candidates should have 10+ years of experience with aircraft avionics components, and 3+ of those years being in a leadership role.

This is a direct hire role that provides relocation assistance for non-local candidates.

responsibilities:

Manage 15 technicians, monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives for a high- end, technical lab providing world-class repair/overhaul of aircraft avionics components, such as, weather radar, navigation/communication systems, autopilot systems and accessories in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and FAA guidelines

  • Coach, develop, motivate, and mentor direct reports

  • Review and monitor repair/overhaul activities to meet customer and stock demands

  • Coordinate communication with customers regarding quotations, repairs and delivery

  • Establish technician schedules to ensure quality and on-time delivery of products to meet specifications

  • Prepare and review lab reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays
