This position requires the candidate to be 100% on-site in *Manhattan Beach, CA*. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

This is a functional home room (FHR) manager position, involving balancing both the overall functional oversight and management of a Systems Engineering group (typically 8-12 engineers) while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from current or future tasking.
Functional Homeroom Duties
• Provide people leadership for a Systems Engineering organization, to include performance management (including performance reviews), career development, staffing, and merit planning as part of the Strategic Deterrent Systems business unit Functional Homeroom
• Support employee development; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute programs
• Provide ownership of and direction of processes used in the functional group
• Support staffing and workload forecast; Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, and performance management
• Support the Department Manager in requested tasking

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
*You’ll Bring These Qualifications:*
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 6 years of related experience
• Minimum 1 year experience leading a project or driving performance against schedule
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
• Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
• Minimum 3 years of direct Systems Engineering experience (requirements, integration, architecture, and/or verification)
• Existing technical scop of work within the Flight Systems Department of the Aerospace Vehicle and Systems Integration on the Sentinel Program

• Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering lifecycle and philosophy

• Knowledge of systems integration methods and documentation
• Knowledge of systems architecture theory and models
• Experience with Cameo
• Experience with DOORs
• 3 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System
• Experience using Siemens NX CAD Tool
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
• Active Sentinel Program SAP
Salary Range: $156,500.00 – $234,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
