Description
The Amb Care Pat Supv 2 is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination for clinics within the assigned Region. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative nursing responsibilities
$61.54- $142.77
Qualifications
- Required: * Current California RN License * Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Masters (must be able to provide Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing program) *
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross *
- 3 years ER, Acute Care or Urgent Care and Pediatric Experience
- Knowledge of the Adult and Pediatric patient population and practice operations
- Knowledge of all aspects procedures and medication administration in an urgent care setting
- Ability to assume direct involvement and provide backup support during clinic emergencies and in patient related problem solving
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through for multiple patient treatments
- Phlebotomy and IV skills
- Skill in performing with frequent interruptions an/or distractions including the ability to accept equivocal circumstances and respond and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal skills in all interactions
- Ability to accept direction and promptly follow through on other duties as assigned with minimal supervision
- Experience and knowledge to accurately screen and triage acute patients
- Knowledge and experience to recognize abnormal laboratory values and respond
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with patients, peers, physicians and administrators
- Skill in listening perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and visitors with health concerns using tact and discretion
- Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and general public in a high volume, clinical setting
- Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference, and hostility
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to work with sensitive and confidential information using discretion and judgment. Preferred: * Possession of PICC line certification
- Knowledge and skill in Central line Catheter management and access
- Skill in usage of medical diagnostic equipment, as well as working knowledge of instruments and supplies required to perform necessary blood tests and procedures
- Working knowledge of the UCLA registration system, appointment scheduling system and order entry system
