A leading company in the furnishing industry is seeking a Bilingual Dispatch Agent to join its team at the Pointe-Claire warehouse and head office location.

Reporting directly to the Director of Warehouse Operations, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and confirming customer deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service and operational efficiency.
This is a non-driving dispatch role focused on system scheduling and internal coordination—not working directly with truck drivers.

Job Title: Bilingual Dispatch Agent
Location: Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 5Z9
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $20 per hour ($41,600 annually) + Benefits & Vacation

Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm a minimum of 25 deliveries per shift
  • Ensure all non-payments are processed at least 48 hours before scheduled deliveries
  • Answer all incoming calls promptly and professionally, including driver and customer inquiries
  • Promptly return messages received before or at the start of shift
  • Escalate any product defect issues reported by drivers to the customer service team immediately
  • Coordinate and email necessary inspection requests to the warehouse manager
  • Provide clear pickup instructions to customers including warehouse hours and accepted payment methods

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of dispatching or scheduling experience
  • Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient with computer systems and scheduling tools
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
