Bilingual Mandarin Head of Finance

They want someone that will eventually role into the CFOs position.

This position will to join our executive leadership team and support our CFO in managing the company’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance, accounting, governance, and ERP systems, and a proven track record in a leadership role within a medium-sized company (annual revenue exceeding $100 million).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Serve as the senior finance executive, overseeing the finance and accounting functions of the organization.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team in all aspects of daily operations including accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and cash flow management.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, review, and analyze internal financial statements, forecasts, and management reports to ensure accuracy and provide insights for strategic decisions.
  • Corporate Governance: Act as the finance liaison in corporate governance matters, including preparation for and participation in Board of Directors and other committee meetings.
  • ERP Systems: Leverage deep ERP expertise to optimize financial operations. ERP implementation experience is highly desirable.
  • Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and business processes to ensure operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Compliance & Regulation: Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term financial planning, including capital structure, retirement benefits, and financial risk management.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership and other departments such as operations, HR, and IT to support organizational objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3–5 years as Head of Finance, CFO, or equivalent role.
  • Excellent understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, internal controls, and business operations.
  • Proven experience with corporate governance, including board meeting preparation and participation.
  • Strong ERP knowledge; direct experience in ERP implementation is a plus.
  • Experience working in a company with revenue over $100M.
  • Familiarity with employee stock ownership plans (ESOP).
  • Knowledge of HR related practices, such as employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development is desirable.

  • Excellent communication (bilingual in Chinese is preferred) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
