Position Summary
The Warehouse and Trucking Inspector is responsible for communication and coordination, data collection, supervision of warehousing and trucking operations, quality control and risk management, exception handling, and supplier evaluation and management. This role ensures that warehouse and trucking company operations meet company standards for service quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Evaluate and select warehouse and trucking vendors, including collecting vendor qualification documents and assessing credibility and service capabilities.
2. Supervise and inspect daily operations of contracted warehouses, including cargo receiving, shipping, inventory management, classification, and labeling of goods.
3. Collect and analyze data related to warehouses and trucking operations to provide decision-making support.
4. Monitor and inspect the quality of cargo handling and transfer within warehouses to ensure vendor services meet company standards; conduct supplier performance evaluations.
5. Identify and assess potential risks in warehouse operations and trucking transportation; develop risk management strategies and corrective measures to ensure operational stability.
6. Communicate and resolve issues or exceptions arising during warehouse and trucking operations with vendors in a timely manner.
7. Coordinate effectively with suppliers, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure smooth cargo transfers.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, International Trade, or related fields preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or trucking management.
