Our Intensive Care Unit is a 12 bed Medical and Respiratory ICU caring for patients with acute medical issues such as sepsis, GI bleeding, post code blue and respiratory issues. On this unit, our registered nurses typically have a 1:2 ratio and 1:1 ratio patients that meet the criteria.
Each room has a HEPA filter, PAPRS readily available and RNs receive a new N95 mask per day.

Position Summary:
As a Charge Nurse in our Medical ICU, you will provide care to an assigned patient population in accordance with established protocols and multidisciplinary plan of care. You will utilize independent, dependent and interdependent interventions to restore stability, prevent complications and achieve and maintain optimal patient responses for all patients though centered/patient valued care in our Medical ICU.
Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. Nights
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- BSN preferred
License/Certifications:
- Valid CA Nursing License
- BLS, ACLS certifications required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
- Prior experience as a Charge RN or Relief Charge strongly preferred
