The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. We are recruiting a full-time faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant, or Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner). This position will primarily provide gender affirming care at our Center for Transgender Youth Health and Development. Our Center is one of the largest youth care sites in the world and sees 300-400 new patients per year. Our Center includes therapists, psychiatry, nursing, case management, and a full range of plastic surgery services. This position will also provide two half-day clinics providing PEP/PrEP/STI screening and treatment for adolescents and young adults. The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at CHLA is one of the oldest in the country and has extensive clinical, educational and research programs. We currently have 13 faculty and over 100 staff and trainees participating in programs ranging from services for unhoused youth, HIV prevention and care, gender affirmation services, mental health and substance use services, and a pediatric-adult transition care program. We are also a LEAH funded educational site. The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine offers a dynamic and diverse work environment with numerous opportunities to collaborate on research, program development, training, and grant development.
