Coordinator, Center for the Advancement of Women (CAW) & Inclusive Excellence The Program Coordinator supports two offices: Center for the Advancement of Women and the Bernadette Gonzaque Robert Center for Inclusive Excellence. The Program Coordinator will assist with program coordination, internal and external communications, writing and editing, administrative tasks, and office functions. This position reports to the Director of the Center for the Advancement of Women. The Program Coordinator will perform other duties required to carry out the mission the offices. Work Location: Both Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles) and Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles). Remote work available 1-2 days per week. Start Date: Immediately Applications Deadline: July 28, 2025 Position Hourly Rate Range: $25.00- $29.00 Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate’s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Center for the Advancement of Women Works with Director on internal and external communications, alerting community members to new Center opportunities and initiatives. Works with the Director to create a quarterly Center newsletter to be distributed to internal and external community members/subscribers. Strengthens and maintains the Center’s social media presence by drafting, editing, and posting social media posts for all platforms. Updates the Center’s website on an as needed basis. Works in close collaboration with the MSMU communications and marketing team to promote the Center’s programing and updates to internal and external audiences. Copyedits and proofreads Center documentation (e.g., Collectif, The Report on the Status of Women and Girls in California, county reports, and focused ad hoc reports). Serves as a liaison with the University’s Institutional Advancement team on public programming matters when the Director is unavailable. Assists in meeting preparation and event planning/logistics. Performs basic day-to-day administration for the Center, including but not limited to processing receipts, check requests, and disbursements, and assisting with communications. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director. 2. Bernadette Gonzaque Robert Center for Inclusive Excellence Supports the Director of Inclusive Excellence with programs and initiatives. Assists with coordination, promotion, and implementation of Inclusive Excellence programs, events and initiatives. Assists in the support and coordination of the Inclusive Excellence Scholars program. Supports the Inclusive Excellence Director with budget management. Assists the Director with developing timely reports, summaries and documents related to the center Performs other duties as assigned by the Director. Other Duties and Responsibilities: The scope of this position requires occasional evening and weekend work. Job Requirements: Knowledge: General knowledge of higher education administration and student support. Knowledge of inclusive excellence and gender equity. Sufficient working knowledge of computers and word-processing, spreadsheet, database, web development and/or other software applications necessary to perform this job. Abilities and Skills: Effectively organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks to meet established goals and deadlines. Ability to network and create campus/community partnerships. Detail-oriented, strong organization, oral/written communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, including students, faculty, staff, parents, and university administrators. Must have excellent conceptual, interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, inclusive, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and diverse group of students. Must be a self-starter who can work independently when needed, and as part of a team. Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Enrollment in Master’s degree in a field commensurate with job posting preferred.
