Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Incumbent provides effective consultation and support for organizational decision making through high-level analysis, data mining of financial and operational data, and effective reporting. Required Qualifications: Solid understanding of decision support systems, cost accounting principles, and accounting systems Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must possess general knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc) Must demonstrate high level analytical skills with focus on business analysis and secondary focus on systems analysis Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Minimum 2 years experience using Excel to maintain spreadsheets and perform data manipulation Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work with multiple and changing priorities Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications: Two years experience working with a cost accounting system Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
