Degree Audit Specialist, Registrar’s Office The Degree Audit Specialist is responsible for the Degree audit module and curriculum maintenance and support to the Office of the Registrar. This requires active interaction with academic departments chairs, other service departments, program director’s and students, and other duties as assigned. Work Location: Both, Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles) and Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles). Hybrid work schedule available. Start Date : Immediately Applications Deadline: Open until filled Annual Salary Rate Range: $70,699.00 – $72,000.00 Monthly Salary Rate Range: $5,891.59 – 6,000.00 Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate’s qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains academic program requirements in Colleague’s Degree Audit module that have been approved and published in the university catalog for the processing of undergraduate and graduate degree audits and certificates Set up new academic programs and program requirements in Colleague. Look up CIP codes for new programs, majors and minors, change the catalog year, update Colleague with addition/deletions of programs. Creates and maintains: Course catalog information used for creating class sections, GE code assignment, course fees, course requisites, and course topics Enters exceptions or course substitutions to reflect accurate student progress in a degree requirement or waive a requirement in a student’s academic program in Colleague Applies advanced technical knowledge of and experience with Ellucians Colleague (Degree Audit Reporting System) to analyze and help resolve degree audit issues for MSMU constituents Applies rule sets to complex information in Degree Audit and course section registration Maintain SmartCatalog database and configuration Creates SmartCatalog logins, update online catalog and be the point person for this database Knowledge of curriculum and academic program structures in a university setting Knowledge of university policies and procedures as they relate to the Office of the Registrar Performs assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques and standards Assists with maintenance of departmental webpage Other Duties and Responsibilities: Interprets and enforces institutional policies and procedures relative to specific degree program requirements. Helps maintain and input course inventory Helps maintain and clear waitlist Provides general support services to students, faculty and administrators, as assigned. Performs other job-related duties, as assigned Job Requirements: Knowledge: At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
