Description
The Director of Ambulatory Transformation & Performance will be a strategic leader responsible for advancing UCLA Health’s clinic network through financial optimization, enterprise growth, and data-driven decision-making. This role will focus on developing and executing business strategies that align with UCLA Health’s growth priorities, leveraging analytics, AI, and predictive modeling to identify revenue opportunities, control costs, and improve financial performance across outpatient operations. With 5 million annual clinic visits generating vast amounts of data, the Director will harness insights to guide strategic business planning, address challenges like no-shows and referral leakage, and position clinics for long-term success. By driving financial and strategic transformation, this leader will ensure UCLA Health delivers sustainable growth, competitive advantage, and high-value care for patients and communities across Southern and Central California.
Salary range: 162,200-392,000 annual
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or other related experience strongly preferred
- Lean six sigma certification preferred
- Epic Certification required
- 5+ years of experience leading high performing teams
- 5+ years of experience with demonstrated proficiency with advanced data mining tools (e.g. SQL, Hadoop, Alteryx), programming language (e.g. Python, R, Java), and visualization application (e.g Tableau, PowerBI) to manage end-to-end analytics solutions
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare delivery, managed care, or patient access
- Demonstrated experience with managing or partnering with contact centers and access organizations
- Familiar with access analytics and development of access related metrics, goals, and dashboards
- Skill in complex SQL query design and data visualization techniques and systems
- Working knowledge of data management, data structures and analytic models
- Skill with statistics and probability, including regression analysis, chi-squared tests, and statistical process control tools
- Expertise in application planning, implementation, and support (Epic experience required, Salesforce experience preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in championing a compelling vision and leading by example while guiding a large team through transitions to new achievements
