Join the KARL STORZ United States (KSUS) team in a dynamic role as Director, Compliance Operations to lead and enhance key elements of our compliance program. This strategic role will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, foster a culture of ethical business practices, and mitigate compliance risks. Partnering closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and senior leadership, you will spearhead critical initiatives that integrate automation, streamline processes, and optimize compliance systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a team of compliance professionals to drive operational excellence.
  • Oversee third-party due diligence, HCP engagement programs, and compliance systems.
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks aligned with industry regulations, including FCPA and international anti-corruption laws.
  • Provide strategic guidance to enhance compliance metrics, reporting, and processes.
  • Collaborate on pre- and post-M&A compliance due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through automation and innovation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in compliance/legal roles, with 5+ years in management.
  • Deep knowledge of anti-bribery laws, medical device/pharma regulations, and industry compliance codes.
  • Experience designing and implementing effective compliance programs and metrics.
  • Proven leadership skills in mentoring teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong process orientation, business acumen, and ability to manage complex projects.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, JD) and relevant certifications (CHC, CCEP).
  • Experience in regulated industries and engagement with government agencies.
