Position Summary The Director of Student-Athlete Development supports and advances the mission of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by coordinating and implementing programs that enhance the personal growth, leadership development, life skills, and community engagement of student-athletes. Reporting directly to the Assistant Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Development, this position plays a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, managing signature programs, and building relationships with campus, community, and professional partners. The Director will oversee designated program areas, supervise assigned staff and student leaders, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful programming. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in student-athlete support, student development, or a related field. (Required) Experience with event planning, leadership training, life skills instruction, or community engagement. (Preferred) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. (Required) Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills. (Required) Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations related to promotional activities and student-athlete welfare. (Required) Able to work evenings and weekends as needed. (Required) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment. (Preferred) Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for diverse populations. (Preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with program tracking tools or databases. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor?s degree or equivalent training and experience. (Required) Master’s Degree.
