Electrical Design Engineer – Long-Established Engineering Firm
A long-established engineering firm, founded over 50 years ago, is a recognized innovator in the development and manufacturing systems. Serving industries such as power generation, agriculture, manufacturing, and entertainment, the company’s systems support applications ranging from cooling gas turbines and humidifying controlled environments to creating atmospheric effects for amusement parks and zoological exhibits.
The firm is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in system design and project coordination. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment, particularly with electrical panel design and pump systems, and is eager to see projects through from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop control panels for high-pressure pump systems.
Conduct system performance testing and record data for cooling, humidification, and water treatment applications.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance involving electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
Review engineering documentation and change orders for accuracy and compliance.
Compile technical data and generate engineering reports.
Collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
Provide support for additional engineering tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical certification.
2–5 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably with control panels and pump systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Familiarity with NEC, UL 508A, and the National Electric Code.
Solid understanding of system design, testing, quality control, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Skills & Abilities
Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative work style.
Self-directed with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Proficiency with standard office and engineering software tools.
