Description

Health is seeking an experienced EMT Manager to lead Emergency Medical
Technician operations within our Critical Care Transport (CCT) program in
Westwood. Under the general supervision of the Unit Director, the EMT Manager
is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and stewardship of the human
and physical resources supporting the Critical Care Transport Department’s
Emergency Medical Technician staff. This role manages daily department
operations including the dispatch desk, staffing assignments, workforce
scheduling, resource utilization, and vehicle and equipment maintenance to
ensure alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
The EMT Manager reviews transport documentation, quality
improvement initiatives, performance metrics, and the utilization of internal
and external resources to identify opportunities for improvement. In
collaboration with organizational stakeholders, this role develops and
implements process, procedural, and system improvements, ensuring policies and
practices align with regulatory standards and industry best practices. The EMT
Manager establishes departmental goals, motivates and supports staff,
encourages teamwork, facilitates conflict resolution, and serves as an
organizational resource for EMT operations and practice. Join our UCLA Health Westwood

Salary: $26.92 – $50.86 Hourly
Qualifications
We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated EMT Management
professional with:
- Valid
unrestricted California EMT-B Certification – Required - California
Ambulance Driver Certificate – Required - USDOT Medical
Certification (MCSA-5876) – Required - Basic Life
Support (BLS) Provider from AHA or ARC – Required - Minimum 5 years
of experience in Emergency Medical Services in a clinical role (EMT-B or
EMT-P) – Required - Minimum 1 year
experience in an EMS leadership role – Required - Bachelor’s
Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training – Required - Associates
Degree in Fire Technology, Health, Business, or related field, or
equivalent experience – Preferred
