Job Summary

Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Design & develop 802.11 features on RDK-B platforms, help create unit test plans, resolve Wi-Fi defects in deployed releases. Participate in design and architectural discussions to define Wi-Fi features and help build highly scalable product. Interact with QA and field support team to help triage and debug defects.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in Wi-Fi related projects

  • Experience and knowledge of IEEE802.11 Wi-Fi protocols such as 802.11b/g/n/ac/ax, hostapd, WPA supplicant, Security Protocols (WPA, WPS), Hotspot 2.0, BSS Transitions, 802.11 Measurements.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP internals and other network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.

  • Expert in C and embedded Linux

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in Wi-Fi driver development on any major wireless SoC vendor

  • 2+ years of experience in software development in C/C++

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
