Your Role on the Team Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Nursing Services, the Equipment Pool Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the operations of the Medical Center equipment pool. Duties include personnel administration including evaluation, training, timekeeping, counseling, and corrective action. Completes billing for patient chargeable items, as well as daily and monthly back-up using the MEMS system. Orders supply items, O2, disposable items, and rental equipment. Ensures inventory control of supply items through monitoring, generating RGMs, and work orders. Maintains records of hospital owned and rented equipment, employee files, and daily work sheets. Maintains responsibility for the layout of the transportation storage areas, researching and resolving customer issues, and maintaining the highest standard for customer service. Develops working relationships with the hospital, clinics, management, and supply vendors. In addition will take orders and deliver patient care equipment. track hospital and rental equipment for daily inventory. clean, set-up and perform basic repairs of equipment. and the deliver and pick-up of equipment and supplies to and from designated areas. A primary focus is on customer service and meeting customer requests and expectations. . What It Takes to be Successful Required Qualifications: Strong knowledge of patient care support activities, systems, external regulations and internal policies Solid interpersonal skills for effective information exchange and problem solving with all levels of management and staff, consultants and outside agencies Skilled in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey complex clinical and technical information in a clear and concise manner, and to produce a variety of reports and analyses Skill to perform basic mathematical computations, and to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, and calculators Knowledge of business software and specialized applications and data management systems used in nursing units or departments Detail oriented, with the ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and apply effective solutions Demonstrated supervisory experience in a healthcare environment Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment, with the ability to work overtime and dictated by patient care demands Total Compensation We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
